Living Dome Roofed rotunda of a bamboo tube construction for living bamboo growing up around it. It has a diameter of 3,80 m, a hight over 9 m and two levels. Alongside the support tubes with a diameter of 12 cm there are planted at a time bamboo sprouts. Those will grow along the tubes and will replace as “living bamboo” the existing construction after approx. two years. New bamboo will then be planted - and so on. In cooperation and with support from the Goethe-Institut Bangkok and the Landfoundation of Rirkrit Tiravanija, Kamin Lartchaiprasert and Suwan Laimanee. |
